Fake out frontage road

Here is where I turned onto the snowmobile trail. Note the full size stop signs. In town the snowmobile trails have miniature stops signs and I will try to take a picture this morning. Note also the truck tracks (or so I thought).

I can't believe your own daughter is dogging you at school...
Okay, here is my story of running off the road..
I was at Little Rock AFB in '84 going thru a 3 month upgrade in the C-130. It was in the fall so I was excited to go watch Auburn play anyway I could. They were going to play Ol' Miss in Oxford.
So I rented a car (I was TDY from Japan) and another guy from Auburn went with me.
After the game (yes, I was sober), I was driving like a madman thru the backroads of Miss when I came to a 90 deg, hairpen, turn. It had rained earlier and I didn't anticipate how much 'possum crap was on the road. So there I go off into the Mississippi Mud right before sunset.
And this is before cell phones. After slogging around in this muddy cotton field for about 30 minutes, this good old boy pulls up in his big ol pick-up and pulls us out. I flipped him $5 (hey, this was '84) and he gave me a semi-toothless grin and drove off to his Saturday night tractor pull!!
Got back to little rock, washed off the car and turned it back in. Thank god for rental cars.
That was my first run-in with the Global Warming Curse!!

It actually cost me $90 bucks (Canadian) to get out. I wonder if I can put it on my expense report.
